The newly elected Northern Cape Cricket Women’s Structure task team was announced early in May.
Nicoline Oliphant was elected as the chairperson of the team, Abraline Visage as deputy chairperson, Nonko Tyindyi as secretary and Kgalalelo Nkadimeng as treasurer.
Additional members are Tamryn Hans and Melissa Maansdorp.
According to Gibson Molale, president of Northern Cape Cricket, he is excited about the election of this team.
“We need to thank the regions on this achievement of having a female-dominated task team. It’s the first time in our history that all regions are present to revive women’s cricket.”
Molale said he believes the team will deliver a constitutional structure for Northern Cape Cricket, and for all regional structures as per the mandate.
“It’s part of my mandate to make cricket fashionable to all in the province.”
