Vehicle enthusiasts came together against gender-based violence (GBV) when they displayed their vehicles at a charity car show event held next to Cecil Sussman Street in Kimberley. All sorts of vehicles entered the competition on 31 August, with over 20 categories, including vintage, street class, and super custom. The vehicles were judged and the winners presented with trophies and certificates. Funds generated went towards the purchasing of groceries, blankets, and toiletries for victims. Handing over the items received from sponsors, as well as those bought with proceeds made from the event are, from the left, Shontei Jones (event organiser, Pathway to Change), Seithati Maboi (programme manager) and Anastacia Ramakgolo (post-violence care social worker). Pathways to Change is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) founded in 2015 with the vision of creating pathways for sustainable social change that empowers South Africans to live a healthy and productive life.
