Six men were arrested in Bultfontein Road, Kimberley, for being in possession of stolen truck tyres. Sgt Dikeledi Gopane, police media officer, said members received information of truck tyres being stolen between Modderrivier and Belmont on Friday (17/03).
A Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Quantum, were stopped at 03:40 by members of the Kimberley Flying Squad. Inside the Quantum ten Michelin tyres with rims, and one energizer tyre – all valued at R120 000, were found.
Six male suspects were arrested and charged for possession of suspected stolen property. Both vehicles were confiscated.
