The Kimberley Children’s Choir (KCC) has said farewell to two women who spent many years encouraging choir members to find fulfilment in their passion for singing.
Hettie Rossouw has been the accompanist for the KCC since 2020.
It is said the connection she made with the choir members is one of the things that will always be remembered about her.
Previously, Rossouw was also the choir conductor for 14 years.
Estelle Vorster has been the conductor of the KCC since 2013 and, before that, the choir conductor.
It is said she managed to create something special for every performance. Not only did she instil confidence in each choir member, but she also inspired life-long qualities that they will carry with them forever.
Vorster handed over the conductor’s wand to Nathan Carlo at the end of November.
The KCC this year celebrates its 35th anniversary. For more information, visit the choir on Facebook.
