A graduation ceremony was recently hosted in Ulco by The Custoda Trust, an accredited training provider specialising in Early Childhood Development (ECD) training.

The event, which coincides with the organisation’s 30th anniversary, witnessed the graduation of 106 students who achieved National Qualifications Framework (NQF) level 4 and 5 qualifications.

The Custoda Trust has been instrumental in empowering caregivers and practitioners throughout the Northern Cape with the knowledge and skills required to provide quality ECD services. These graduates have not only enhanced their professional prospects but also contributed to the betterment of the communities they serve.

Huldah Barnard, director of the trust, expressed her pride and appreciation for the hard work and dedication displayed by the graduating students.

“We are exceptionally proud of these students as many of them have overcome significant challenges to further their education,” she said.

“Their achievements are a testament to their resilience and the importance of accessible training programmes.”

The graduation of these students was made possible through the support of various funders, including the SIOC-Community Development Trust (CDT), Jell Foundation, as well as De Aar, Boshof, and Droogfontein Solar Power. Barnard expressed appreciation for the unwavering support of the funders, adding their commitment has made a profound impact on the lives of these students and the communities they serve.

Over the past three decades the trust has remained committed to providing essential training opportunities and empowering individuals to create positive change in their communities. The organisation looks forward to continued success and contributions to the development of caregivers and practitioners in the Northern Cape.
