Thozamile Lovers Kula, who grew up in Tswelelang in Galeshewe, Kimberley, is a finalist in the Mr South Africa 2025 pageant.

Kula, a former learner of the Technical High School Kimberley, was always good in debating or public speaking competitions and has embodied social change through his commitment community work in the Northern Cape.

Currently he holds a national role in the Order of St John South Africa, as the chief staff officer for youth.

Kula and a team run first aid clubs at six schools across Kimberley, which include the Kimberley Boys’ High School, Kimberley Girls’ High, St Boniface, Thabane, Willam Pescod and Floors. They are preparing to take part in the St John Regional Competition held in Bloemfontein this year.

His community work includes working with Scouts South Africa and various other non-profit organisations. Kula became one of the very first Northern Camp Rovers to obtain the Biden Powell Award which is an award that highlights Rovers scouts internationally.

With the help of the Northern Cape Sports academy, Kula has also taken part in various national school sports competitions as part of Northern Cape medical team. As a first aider he has taken care of a number of injuries in sport games.

His dedication to community work has earned him international recognition by an international order of chivalry. He has also been promoted to an officer of the Order Grade V.

Kula seeks to raise awareness and drive solutions for youth problems and gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF).
