The boys’ hockey team of the Northern Cape High School in Kimberley won the Kimberley league for the 15th year in a row when they beat the team of the Diamantveld High School in the final round, played on 13 August.
The girls’ first team ended second.
Northern Cape’s U16 boys’ and girls’ teams also won their final games to emerge as winners in the league.
Three learners of Northern Cape were named players of the tournament. These achievers are: Ntsako Mamogare, for the U16 girls; Taarique Boer, as an U16 boys’ player and Ryle Swartz, who excelled as an U18 boys’ player.
