All the stolen goods after a house-breaking complaint were recovered on Friday, 13 October, in Deben.

According to police spokesperson, Lt Col. Sergio Kock, at about 09:00 while police members from Deben, Kuruman Local Criminal Record Centre and Kathu Crime Prevention unit attended to a house breaking complaint, they spotted a suspicious looking Hyundai truck on the R380 road, and followed it into Mapoteng village.

This truck was used in the commissioning of the crime.

Members of the Kumba Security company also assisted, and the vehicle was stopped and searched. Some of the stolen goods were found on the truck.

Further investigation led the police to a house in Deben where they found more of the alleged stolen goods including four fridges, a flat screen TV, grinders, a compressor, three speakers, a drill machine, solar panel, and spanners. The stolen property was positively identified by the owner and handed over.

Three male suspects are still at large and police arrested a 25-year-old male and confiscated the Hyundai truck.

The John Taolo Gaetsewe District Commissioner, Maj Gen. Johnny Besnaar, commended the team for their quick response and thanked Kumba Security company for their consistent assistance in clamping down on property related crime in the JTG district and surrounding farming areas.
