- The 2023 News24 Karoo Burn MTB Challenge takes place from Calvinia. Cyclers follow 242 km of gravel road with 1 950 m of climbing to the Kaleo Guest Farm. Visit karooburn.co.za.

- The 53rd Diamond Marathon, presented by the Kimberley Harriers Running Club, has the Diamantveld High School as starting point. Enter for the 42,2 km, 21,1 km or 10 km event on quicket.co.za. Alternatively, dial 079-729-0689 or 078-953-6337.

- The fourth Matsa 100 Miler, between Bloemfontein and Kimberley, takes place. The mountain bike route of 164 km is especially challenging due to the ruggedness of the terrain and a few hills to overcome. Visit oryxendurance.co.za.
