The colour of the smoke coming from your vehicle’s exhaust can be a sign of engine damage.
Blue or gray smoke can be caused by an oil leak in the combustion chamber, damaged piston rings or burning oil.
Black smoke can be caused by a blocked air filter, a malfunction in the fuel injection system or a blocked manifold.
While thin white smoke is nothing to worry about, thicker white smoke can be caused by a cracked engine block or a damaged or blown head gasket.
