A shebeen in Mapoteng, Mothibistad, which was operating at a bogus Mozambican voting station, was shut down by the police last week.
Police members also arrested a 37-year-old foreign national.
Lt. Col. Sergio Kock, police spokesperson, said police members pounced on the unsuspecting Mozambican national who was, allegedly, operating the shebeen from the bogus voting station.
A substantial amount of alcohol, as well as a speed point machine and a freezer, were confiscated.
The owner was issued a R1 000 fine.
The immigration services of the Department of Home Affairs detained the undocumented Mozambican national under Section 49 for contravention of the Immigration Act.
The investigation continues, said Kock.
