In a press release, Col Thabo Litabe, SAPS Corporate Communications, said it has been the intention of Lt Gen. Koliswa Otola, provincial police commissioner of the Northern Cape, since assuming office in August to end the era of members acting in vacant posts.

These appointments come a month after the appointment of several Brigadiers, and other Major Generals recently.
