Dr Zamani Saul, premier of the Northern Cape, was also a participant at the third Phakamile Mabija Human Rights Half Marathon, hosted by the Theemaneng Running Club in Kimberley on Saturday (25/03).

The third Phakamile Mabija Human Rights Half Marathon saw participants from all over enthusiastically competing on a misty Saturday morning (25/03) in Kimberley.

As part of this event, hosted by the Teemaneng Running Club, participants could take on 21,1 km, 10 km or 4,9 km, with the Adamantia High School as the starting point.

In the half marathon, Joel Mmone was the first male participant to cross the finishing line; while Onalenna Khonkhobe was second, and Thabang Lesia third.

Anna Moeketsi was the winner in the women’s category, with Kebogile Motshabi second, and Kerika Botha third.

In the men’s category of the 10 km event, David Manja, Tebogo Pooe and Tshepang Modopame were the winner and runners-up, respectively.

Aglacier Ratlabala was the women’s category winner, with Rentia Mans and Stacey Viljoen the runners-up.
