At its milestone celebration of 100 years of making a difference, Rotary International’s District 9350 invites people of all ages to become community changemakers.

Rotary International’s District 9350 includes over 80 clubs across the Northern and Western Cape of South Africa, Angola and Namibia.

For this centenary celebration, Rotary have launched an awareness campaign, “Act4Impact”.

The campaign was launched in February in Cape Town, where the wide range of community service projects undertaken by Rotary was emphasised.

Eye surgeries are also conducted through the support of Rotary.

Stephen Young, Rotary District 9350 governor, says they are passionate about service with the goal to inspire others as well.

“The need is so vast that it will take all of us working together – even though our part of it may be small. Together we can all make a significant impact,” he adds.

The campaign is supported by tangible examples from Rotary’s community projects that have significantly improved lives.

Rotary tackles the most pressing community challenges across seven service areas: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, supporting education, saving mothers and children, growing local economies and protecting the environment.

Individuals and organisations are invited to Act4Impact, and to be a part of this journey.
