Residents of Ritchie will experience a three-hour daytime water supply interruption, effective from Tuesday, 8 October, and until further notice.
Thabo Mothibi, spokesperson of the Sol Plaatje Municipality, said in a statement that these interruptions would be effective from 14:00 to 17:00.
Ritchie, although situated approximately 40 km from Kimberley, forms part of the Sol Plaatje Municipality.
The reason for this daily water interruption was stated as a “decline in production at the water purification plant”.
Mothibi stated that detail on the measures to stabilise the water supply, and to enhance the production capacity would be shared as soon as possible.
He said that the municipality regretted the inconvenience caused to residents.
