Staff of the Flamingo Casino recently collected and donated non-perishable food for persons in need in Kimberley and surrounding areas. “We are thankful to our staff who opened up their hearts and personally contributed towards our Tin Spin collection,” said Flamingo Casino’s general manager, Themba Marasha, about the food rally that had started before Mandela Day, celebrated in July. “We collected enough food to feed more than 150 people.” Marasha and 11 staff spent their 67 minutes engaging with Ngena Blessed Meals and Fepang Setshaba – soup kitchens that service those in need, including the elderly – and the Bophelo Home of Safety, where disadvantaged children are looked after.Photo: Supplied
