A meet-and-greet event for pharmacists and pharmacist assistants, as well as their families, took place in Kimberley.

This event, for these professionals in Kimberley and surroundings, was held on Saturday, 15 February, at the AP Padel Court at the Kalahari Lodge.

The family fun day, with colleagues, also aimed to made them aware of what the Northern Cape and Free State branch of the South African Association of Hospital and Institutional Pharmacists (Saahip) has to offer for members and non-members.

Saahip is a sector of the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA).

Objectives include the promoting of professional development, advocating for the pharmacy profession, enhancing the quality of healthcare, establishing and maintaining professional standards, fostering collaboration and networking, as well as promoting ethical practice and professional integrity.

The event in Kimberley was sponsored by the Morgan Group Kimberley.

All funds raised at the event will be contributed to Operation Smile, which is the community service project of Saahip.
