On Saturday, 17 November, Kathu II took on the Wrenchville Cricket Club.

The match was played at the Kathu High School.

Wrenchville batted first and thanks to patient batting by their experienced batsmen, especially John-Paul Minnaar, they posted a very good total of 228/3.

The chase was as always a challenging one and the task was made harder with the loss of early wickets and disciplined bowling.

Kathu II were bowled out for 167.

The man of the match was Minnaar for his knock in the first innings showing his experience.

  • On Saturday, 17 November, the Limpopo Rural cricket team travelled to Kathu to play against the Northern Cape Rural team.

The Northern Cape team consisted of players in the different regions.

The team of Northern Cape Rural batted first and were bowled out for 143.

Johanco Faihst made a noteworthy contribution of 63.

The Limpopo batsmen then made light work of the chase, winning the match by 6 wickets.
