Prison sentence of 24 years was handed down on 12 July in the Port Nolloth Magistrate’s Court to a 47-year-old male for statutory rape, exposing a child to pornography, using a child for pornography, and grooming a child.
This follows an incident in 2022 when the father of the 13-year-old victim found a video on her cellphone of her having sex with the neighbour. He laid a charge with police, leading to the man’s arrest and conviction, said Lt. Col. Sergio Kock, spokesperson.
