A life sentence was handed down to Monde Nyeshe in the De Aar Regional Court on Monday (01/08) for the rape of two women.
He assaulted and raped a 19-year-old woman several times on 6 December 2015. She lay a charge and Nyeshe was arrested a few days later. The case was struck off the court roll because of outstanding DNA results.
In July 2016 Nyeshe raped a 29-year-old woman after threatening the victim and her boyfriend with a knife. He was arrested a week later by the police in De Aar.
The cases were combined, Nyeshe was found guilty of three counts of rape and he received a life sentence.
