Members of the Kimberley Regiment, an army reserve unit, recently dedicated time and money from their own pockets to assisting the Northern Cape Society for the Blind (NCSB). Lt. Col Tuelo Petrus Kgaje, officer commanding of the regiment (left), said his unit had adopted the NCSB to assist where possible. The erecting of palisades and two sliding gates on the stoep area of the main building will contribute to safety. Also, this voluntary contribution forms part of the unit’s social responsibility, and its dedication to what Mandela Day is about. With Kgaje is Maj. Pogisho Letebejanethe, second-in-command, and other members.Photo: Helena Barnard
