Make your own wooden toybox.
Requirements:
- Pine wood one of 18 mm x 455 mm x 2400 mm
- Hand drill
- Drill bit (star point)
- Chipboard screws 3.5 x 40 mm
- Pilot hole drill 3 mm
- Wood glue
- P100 sandpaper
- Paint
- Paint brush
- Wood filler Pine
- Pencil
- Jigsaw
- Measure tape
Step by step:
- Measure the following measurements and make a mark. Three pieces of 18 mm x 400 mm x 400 mm and two pieces of 18 mm x 364 mm x 364 mm.
- Cut with the jigsaw on each marking you made on the wood piece. Sand the wood until it’s smooth and has no splints.
- Take one of the 18 mm x 400 mm x 400 mm wood piece and put glue on two of the 18 mm sides, but put glue across sides.
- Take the two 18 mm x 400 mm x 400 mm pieces and place them across each other, on the glued area.
- Drill a hole in each corner of each 18 mm x 400 mm x 400 mm wood piece, so you must have two holes in each side. Drill a screw in each hole you made. Put glue on the other sides of the 18 mm x 400 mm x 400 mm pieces, put it on the 18 mm sides, but do not place glue on the top of the 18 mm x 400 mm x 400 mm pieces.
- Take the two 18 mm x 364 mm x 364 mm, place on glued area and drill a hole in each corner of each wood piece and drill one screw in each hole.
- Fill each hole with the wood filler and let dry. Sand the wood filler spots until it’s smooth. Stain or varnish the stand and let it dry.
