The microwave tower in Long Street, Kimberley, is one of the most iconic features of the city’s skyline. Although it is easy enough to find Long Street, one can always look out for this tower when in need of direction in the city. Close by, on the corner of Long and Black Street, a monument was erected in 1976 in memory of the people who died in the concentration camp in Kimberley during the South African War.
