The police are investigating a murder and attempted murder case after a man from Kimberley was fatally shot in his bakkie on Wednesday evening, 31 July.
The 28-year-old male victim and his 27-year-old spouse were entering at the gate of their townhouse complex in New Park when an unknown man allegedly approached and fired several shots into the white Toyota Hilux bakkie, fatally wounding the deceased, Lt. Col. Sergio Kock, police spokesperson, said.
The Serious and Violent Crimes unit are probing this fatal shooting. Preliminary investigations indicates that the incident took place at approximately 21:00.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
