Woman jailed for fraud: Mutlwaneng Lydia Seotsa (33) was on Thursday (27/01) found guilty of fraud and money laundering by the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court and was sentenced to five years’ direct imprisonment.


Woman jailed for fraud: Mutlwaneng Lydia Seotsa (33) was on Thursday (27/01) found guilty of fraud and money laundering by the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court and was sentenced to five years’ direct imprisonment.

Capt. Tebogo Thebe, spokes­person for the Hawks, said Seotsa had been a member of the school governing body of the Re Tlameleng Special School in the city and was seconded as the school’s bank signatory.

She electronically transferred money from the school’s account to her private account, with the school suffering a loss of R460 540.
