With the summer holiday approaching, visiting Kimberley’s first padel court might be a healthy option for having fun and spending quality time with family and friends.

The AP Padel court opened earlier this year, and has already hosted its first leagues and flash tournaments.

However, one does not need to be a seasoned player to enjoy this team sport.

Part of the fun is to learn the game while playing, and children of school-going age are also welcome.

Padel is a racket sport of Mexican origin, played in doubles on an enclosed court slightly smaller than a double tennis court.

Globally, 25 million players across 110 countries are embracing padel’s fast-paced and intense action.

The game shares the same scoring system as tennis, but the rules, strokes and technique are different.

The court is situated next to the Kalahari Lodge on the corner of Landbou and Memorial Road.

Gear and apparel are available at the shop at AP Padel.

  • Download the Playtomic app and search for Kimberley to get more information and to make an online booking for a time-slot to play.
  • Also visit AP Padel on Facebook to find tips on how to better your game.
