Sports teams of the Sol Plaatje University (SPU) recently competed at the University Sport South Africa (Ussa) Summer Games at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). The SPU’s women’s football team won a bronze medal at the event. Nosipho Khomari (photo) took the award for top goal scorer in the women’s B section. At the end of November, universities also battled it out in a three-day Ussa Student Aerobics tournament hosted at the SPU’s Sport Precinct.
