The fraud case against Matshidiso Cordelia Mogale (48), who at the time of the commissioning of the offences was the municipal manager of the Phokwane Local Municipality, has been deferred by the Hartswater Regional Court.
According to Mojalefa Senokoatsane, spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority, the accused is facing eight fraud charges.
She is also charged for contravention of the Municipal Finance Management Act amounting to more than R2,7 million.
The case will be heard on 1 March.
