Step by step
- Use the jigsaw to cut the wood according to the sizes given in the list of supplies.
- Sand all pieces of wood until smooth. There must be no splinters.
- Place two pieces of 22 mm x 69 mm x 483 mm and two pieces of 22 mm x 69 mm x 276 mm in the shape of an L. Place the two pieces of 22 mm x 69 mm x 276 mm on top of the two sections of 22 mm x 69 mm x 483 mm.
- Put glue on the 22 mm side of both pieces, glue the two middle pieces on both 22 mm sides. Use two wood clamps to keep the pieces together. Take two pieces of 22 mm x 69 mm x 276 mm and one piece of 22 mm x 69 mm x 138 mm. Drill two holes in the 138 mm piece and four holes in both 276 mm pieces. Put glue on the 69 mm sides. Place the one piece vertical on the left end, measure 276 mm to the right and place piece vertical on 276 mm mark. Place the 138 mm piece vertical on the bottom of the two 483 mm pieces. Drill one screw in each hole.
- Repeat step 3 and 4 to have three L-shaped panels.
- Take 11 pieces of 22 mm x 69 mm x 500 mm and drill three holes in each piece: two holes in the ends and one hole in the middle. Take the panels and place two at the sides and one in the middle. Put glue on the 22 mm side of the panels. Place four pieces of 22 mm x 69 mm x 500 mm on top of the L-shape panels, drill in screws in each hole and repeat with other pieces of wood. Place two pieces vertical, three pieces horizontal and two pieces vertical on the bottom of the step.
- Paint the step your way.
