As part of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) month festivities, the Northern Cape Urban TVET (NCUTVET) hosted a Western and Northern Cape regional debating competition.
Students of colleges in the region eagerly competed against each other on 10 August at the Moremogolo Campus in Kimberley.
They debated on topics such as “‘Sexual Harassment still exists in institutions of learning and the workplace” and “Women are generally discriminated against for leadership positions and results in under representation of women in sectors of society”.
Participating TVET Colleges were those of Northern Cape Urban, Northern Cape Rural, Northlink, Boland, West Coast and the College of Cape Town.
The team of Northern Cape Rural TVET, students from Upington, was announced as the winners.
