Earlier in August, two former students of the Dawrette Heyns Modelling Academy and Finishing School in Upington participated at the Ultimate International Miss pageant in Virginia Beach, America.
Caitlin Spangenberg was crowned as the second princess, Ultimate International Miss. She also took home awards as the black-and-gold outfit runway winner, and the second princess in casual wear runway.
Maria Spangenberg is the first princess, Junior International Miss.
They are the daughters of Hilton and Valda Spangenberg from the Keimoes area.
