The Mediclinic Gariep in Kimberley is celebrating its tenth anniversary on Friday, 6 December.
Community members are invited to celebrate this milestone during a day filled with activities and health-focused events.
Apart from enjoying a treat of birthday cake, other activities include:
- Hospital tours: Take a behind-the-scenes look with guided tours through the hospital’s departments, from the modern theatres to specialised units. Four tours will be scheduled: two for children and two for adults.
- Health screenings: Free health checks for all visitors, including blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol tests.
- Children: Meet the Mediteddy and the Mediclown before embarking on a tour through the hospital. Children will be treated with a snack.
- First aid demonstrations: Live demonstrations of first aid skills by ER24, through which visitors can learn how to save a life. Demonstrations will be held at 11:00 and at 15:00.
