The male and female winners in the Intervaal Sub-district Single Masters Championship were crowned this past weekend.
This event took place on Saturday (15/10) and Sunday at the Hartswater Bowls Club.
After two days and five rounds, followed by the finals, the following players were able to outplay and outlast their opponents: Danie Koekemoer (of the Hartswater Bowls Club) beat Wihan Smit (Bloemhof Bowls Club) to take the men’s title; while Chrizaan Visser (Bloemhof Bowls Club) beat Chrissie van Niekerk (Hartswater Bowls Club) to take the women’s title.
Intervaal is one of the four sub-districts in the Northern Cape and consists of the bowls clubs of Warrenton, Hartswater, Vryburg, Schweizer-Reneke, Bloemhof, Christiana and Hertzogville.
