Members of the police in Kimberley are investigating the death of a 36-year-old man who allegedly drowned in a water pit in Ronaldsvlei, Kimberley.
On Friday, 7 February, at about 11:00, members of the police’s Search and Rescue teams from the Northern Cape and Free State retrieved the body from the water pit, which is approximately 11 m deep.
The deceased is believed to be a resident in that area.
The family reported the matter to the police after they found his shoes floating in the water of the pit after searching for him for two days.
