The inaugural Bowls South Africa (BSA) U35 Inter-districts Tournament is taking place in Kimberley this weekend.

Action is promised at the Beaconsfield Park and Sol Plaatje West End Bowling Clubs in the city from Saturday, 20 September, to Tuesday, 23 September, when the best young talent will be battling it out on the greens.

Bowlers from all over South Africa, as well as an invitational team from Namibia, will compete in this first U35 tournament. A total of 43 teams are expected to compete.

This is the inaugural event under the expanded U35 age limit, previously a U30 competition.

Northern Cape is fielding four teams, with the host province A team led by Protea bowler CP Mathewson, alongside Driaan van Niekerk, Franscois van der Walt, and Kieran Kelly.
