The Magersfontein Trail Run, presented by the Kimberley Harriers Running Club, saw Arthur Jantjies of the Kgosi Galeshewe Athletics (KGA) club crossing the finishing line first in the 25 km race, in 1:28:14.
In this event, presented on Saturday, 9 December, at Magersfontein, Sidney Steven of the Hopetown Running Club was second (1:36:27) in the men’s category, and Tshepo Moalahi of Kimberley Harriers third (1:49:18). In the women’s 25 km race, Kerike Botha (private) was first (2:03:39), Denice Thomas (Hopetown) second (2:09:14) and Melissa du Plessis (Kimberley Harriers) third (2:09:26). Refilwe Merementsi (KGA) is the men’s winner in the 10 km race (37:04) and Marylyn van Vuuren (Totalsports) the women’s winner (55:08).
